Windows Live Messenger 8.1 Release Date

According to MSN Creative the new WLM 8.1 Beta will be released on October 30, WLM 8.1 Beta will be available on the site of ideas.live.com for everybody. The users will be invited by mail and via the Msn page to download it.

This new version will include/understand the following updates:

* New design of the contact card .
* The avatars will be hosted on Microsoft servers whatever the computer on which user will be connected.
* Increased safety.
* Improved authentification
* New winks and emoticons
* Possibility of posting the place we live in personal message.

wtf, is that just in case we've forgotten where we live? What a completely retarded feature -- if I want to put my address in my PSM, I believe that I could manage to do it manually. Anyways, those sorts of programs always fuck up and post where my ISP is situated, not my computer.

Its for your contacts. They will seen the real adress that you have write in your account Live on a map with LiveLocal ... not with your IP adress

MSN Creative were not the first with the story. heaven.fr was, and since then with messlive etc confusion ha sbeen created

hey thanks, this is great news. But will msn plus live be able to support it when it comes out?

because i never lyked using wlm 8.1 because they never made a compatible plus version for it. cheerz

Oh, and will there be a new look for this new wlm beta?

WLM BETA 8.1 going public tonight

French bloggers last week were let in on an exclusive regarding the next 8.1 beta-release and we can indeed confirm their reports that Windows Live Messenger 8.1 will go into Public Beta starting this evening (US time). The new build will be downloadable (as previously announced) by all of you from the official ideas.live.com website.
