If you are having problems signing-in this is probably because you need to update your Windows Live Messenger. Microsoft is forcing every Windows Live Messenger user (below 9) to update to the last version.
Download the last stable version here
A small hint, thanks to The boss ( kegham ) as he told us, just change compatibility mode to windows 2000 and you will be able to still run Windows Live Messenger 8.1.

8.1 still working, just change compatibility mode to win 2000 
Here is how to change compatibility mode:
Steps:
- Exit any running MSN from taskbar ( Right click and exit )
- Right click on the default MSN shortcut ( Usually on desktop ) and choose properties.
- In properties dialog box press "Find Target" ( This will take you to the installation directory )
- Now right click on "msnmsgr" and choose properties and navigate to "compatibility".
- Check --> "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and choose "Windows 2000".
- Press Apply / Ok, go to your MSN and sign in again and voila you are online

* Now you might ask why it work under "Windows 2000" compatibility mode. Dont ask it, because i will not tell why ...

After i have received many emails and messages from different sources, websites, friends, requesting the popular MultiMSN creation. I have decided to present again another release of this lovely tool for WLM version "14.0.8089.0726".
Personal opinion from me:
I hate this WLM release, Microsoft making craps again ...
